Me, myself and I

Gertjan Kuipers (a.k.a. GJK) was born in The Netherlands (Oldenzaal 1969). Football and listening music were his main hobbies. Mixing music became GJK’s main hobby and he succeeded in getting airplay on local and national radiostations like Radio Veronica. The first airplay was on Radio Veronica’s In The Mix presented by Dutch mixer Ben Liebrand. After this great success there were more mixes on national radio. In 2005 GJK was on Radio Veronica on a programme called Soulshow presented by famous Dutch DJ Ferry Maat. The Bond van Doorstarters is a very popular mixitem in the Soulshow and GJK managed to get a lot of airplay with his short (about 7 minutes) megamixes. GJK is a regular mixer on a Dutch local radiostation called Way FM with DJ Harold Zwaartman. The great yearmixes of GJK are broadcasted on Way FM for some years now. GJK was also a regular mixer for Xenox Music & Media. Xenox released several CD’s with mixes for Aerobic schools.  Xenox released 7 CD’s with mixes by Gertjan Kuipers. In 2008, GJK became a remixer and his first official release was a fact when GJK remixed Qué Pasa by Dutch producer Bernd Loorbach (Project X). Chicago based record label EsNtion Records released several remixes of Qué Pasa, including the GJK Mix. GJK is very ambitious to produce more remixes. There will be more to come in 2008...
